M.S. LPC, LCDC-I
With a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Baylor University, and a Masters in Counseling from the prestigious University of North Texas counseling program, Jasmine has counseling education and training that have prepared her to work with clients of all ages, and with a variety of struggles. She’s eagerly pursued post graduate, specialized training and experience to give the best possible treatment to the populations about whom she is most passionate. Jasmine has worked with children, adolescents, and families who have endured traumatic or life altering events, including working in adolescent and adults residential treatment centers for survivors of domestic violence and of sex trafficing. To best serve these clients, Jasmine pursued post graduate training in trauma informed therapy, and in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and can offer these evidence based, life changing therapies to teens and adults in both group and individual formats.
DBT is one of the most well researched and effective treatments for teens and adults who struggle with regulating their emotions, and who are diagnosed with mood disorders, PTSD, and borderline personality disorder. It is a powerful therapeutic tool for use with clients who engage in self harming behavior and have a pattern of unstable or destructive relationships. Speaking of relationships…
Recognizing the importance of healthy relationships in client’s lives, Jasmine pursued additional training in Gottman Method Couples Counseling and enjoys working with couples who desire a closer connection, or who are recovering from interpersonal traumas such as affairs.
