Elizabeth Arredondo
We all have a story, and the chapters of our lives have helped shape us into who we are today. I believe the key to successful therapy is building a supportive, trusting relationship that allows clients to tell their life stories and better understand what they believe about them, and how they want them to evolve. In counseling, I am able to integrate personal values, spiritual beliefs and evidenced-based treatments such as cognitive behavioral, narrative, and mindfulness therapies.
My specialties include parenting, divorce, adolescent therapy, relationship difficulties, women's issues, and spiritual struggles. I have extensive training and experience working with divorced and divorcing couples on coparenting well, and am able to serve as a court -appointed parenting coordinator or facilitator.
Because I want to see all patients receive quality treatment from well-trained clinicians, I serve as a board approved supervisor of TX interns, and offer reduced cost counseling with them in my Atascocita office. I also provide consultation services for clinicians and attorneys in the areas of mental health ethics and practice growth.

I love working with couples and families to help them resolve their conflicts and struggles. Life can be difficult, and I am here to offer hope, strength, and compassion in the midst of the journey. I can help people, whether single, married, or engaged, grow independently and in their relationships using a variety of techniques and assessment tools. My specialized training and experience also allows me to help people who seek to integrate their beliefs and values in the work they do and the decisions they make in counseling. I am a certified sex therapist, and so have extensive training in working with couples and individuals who face challenges in their sexuality. I create a safe, open, welcoming space to explore sensitive issues such as intimacy, addiction, sexual orientation, and desire, and help people appreciate their sexuality in light of their faith and values. I'm excited to offer couples tailored assessments of their strengths and weaknesses using the Prepare Enrich assessment tool. Additionally, I am trained in techniques by John Gottman, a renowned researcher and educator in the field of couple's counseling.
