MA, LPC
Lizz works with children, teens and young adults from a perspective that acknowledges the tremendous impact family has on people’s emotions and relationship patterns. Her experience on the family team at a large, non-profit counseling center has prepared her to appreciate all the moving parts of a family. Additionally, Lizz has specialized training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy, an evidence based treatment modality that addresses self and relationship destructive behavior and difficulties with emotional regulation in adolescents and adults.
Lizz especially enjoys providing therapy for adolescents and young adults struggling with anxiety, helping them overcome these often debilitating problems using scientifically proven treatments such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). She engages easily with teens, creating a safe and relaxed atmosphere in which they feel comfortable sharing their struggles, and are encouraged to make changes that lead to healthier living.
Lizz is also adept at helping those who are wrestling with spiritual issues – questioning the faith they grew up with or trying to solidify a belief system or spiritual practice that is meaningful for them and reconciles with the way they have come to know themselves, others, and the world.
